What's the history behind this event?

Gratien Jamail started in 2022 with a dream and a mission, and our first expo was in June of 2023!

Since our community often struggles to access affordable opportunities, we put vendors first in all decisions, with the goal of providing better opportunities for our community. Unfortunately, most cities' "official" Pride celebrations charge artists and vendors $675 (sometimes more) just to have a small booth for a few hours. These events are often outdoors in the hottest time of the year.

Our expo is organized by a small queer team, with small queer owned businesses in mind. We wanted an event that's big, accessible, indoors with AC, inclusive, and affordable, and now we have it twice a year in Austin (currently expanding to other major cities)!
